Switlana Haljuk

Switlana Haljuk ( Ukrainian Світлана Галюк , English transcription Svitlana Halyuk ; born November 19, 1987 in Luhansk ) is a former Ukrainian cyclist .

In 2007 Haljuk was the Ukrainian runner-up in the individual time trial . In the same year she became vice European champion in the individual time trial and in the single pursuit on the track . In 2008 she was runner-up in the team pursuit at the World Track Championships in Manchester , together with Ljubow Schulika and Lesja Kalytowska, and was again runner-up in the individual time trial. In the same year she was also able to place in the front several times at the Vuelta a Occidente in San Salvador .

2010 Haljuk finished eighth in the team pursuit at the World Railroad Championships in Ballerup , with Kalytowska and Jelysaweta Botschkarjowa . In the same year she was two-time Ukrainian vice-champion in the individual time trial and in the road race . In 2011 she was again Ukrainian runner-up in the individual time trial. At the third round of the Track Cycling World Cup in Beijing in 2011/12 , the Ukrainian team took first place with Haljuk, Boschkarewa and Schulika. After participating in the 2012 Olympic Games in London , where she finished ninth in the team pursuit with the Ukrainian team (with Lesja Kalytowska and Jelysaweta Botschkarjowa), she ended her cycling career.
