Lesja Kalytowska ( Ukrainian Леся Калитовська , English transcription Lesya Kalytovska ; born February 23, 1988 in Lviv Oblast ) is a former Ukrainian cyclist . Her specialty disciplines were individual and team pursuit .

Athletic career

From 2005 onwards, Kalytowska was internationally successful, on the railways and on the road . In 2005 and 2006 she was junior world champion and European champion in the single pursuit, in 2007 she was again European champion in the pursuit. In the individual time trial , she finished third at the 2005 European Junior Championships. Since then she has stood on the podium many times in international and national competitions.

In 2007 Lesja Kalytowska became Ukrainian champion in the individual time trial. At the UCI track world championships in Manchester in 2008 , she was runner-up in the team pursuit, together with Switlana Haljuk and Lyubow Schulika . In the same year she won the bronze medal in the single pursuit at the Olympic Games in Beijing ; she was fifth in the points race.

In 2012, Kalytowska started at the Olympic Games in London and finished ninth in the team pursuit together with Jelysaveta Botschkarjowa and Switlana Haljuk . Then she ended her cycling career.
