Freisen Wildlife Park

The Freisen Wildlife Park is a wildlife park in the Saarland town of Freisen . It was opened in 1999 by Horst and Liesel Broszeit.

Livestock

Nature Freisen currently located (as of April 2017) pygmy goats , pigs , Valais goats, prairie dogs , donkeys , Thuringian forest goat , elk , moose , storks , raccoons , raccoon dogs , foxes , otters , deer , Sika deer, fallow deer, bald ibis , ibex, marmots , Chickens , llamas, reindeer, kangaroos, barbary macaques, coatis, arctic foxes and emus. There is also a pond with ducks and geese and a falconry with eagles , owls , buzzards and vultures in the park .

In the falconry you can see bald eagles , falcons , steppe eagles , various species of vultures, eagle owls , owls and many other birds of prey . Air shows are also held in summer.

Specialty

Some of the animals, for example red deer, sikas , fallow deer as well as pot-bellied pigs and prairie dogs roam free and can accompany visitors on the 1.8 km long circular route. In addition, you can take part in daily carnivore feedings.

The natural game park also has a restaurant with a playground. The elk festival, the autumn festival and a medieval spectacle are also held there.
