Nauendorf (desert)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The deserted village Nauendorf is located in the district of the hamlet pointer home of the town Bad Blankenburg in Saalfeld-Rudolstadt in Thuringia .

location

In the corridor of the district Zeigerheim in a trough-shaped valley of the Zeigerheimer boiler was the place Nauendorf.

history

Finds from prehistory and early history were recovered in the desert corridor and archived under the name of the desert. There were also finds from the Neolithic Age . Later settlement remains were arranged. This place was mentioned in a document on November 19, 1370 along with other villages. The certificate is in the Rudolstadt State Archives .

The already natural and economically favorable location at that time indicates the nutritional function of the village of Nauendorf for the up-and-coming town of Blankenburg and the fortified protective bastions, because viticulture was already commonplace back then. It is not clear why the place fell into desolation.
