history
Zeigerheim was first mentioned in a document in 1350. Zeigerheim is a former Slavic round village . It lies in the protection of the 425 m high "Liske" mountain and the Kesselberg. The field names are mostly Slavic. Until 1810 there was wine in the southern slopes of the “Liske” mountain. It was cleared from 1810.
In 1396 the construction of the fortified church was completed.
Until 1918 the place belonged to the sovereignty of the Principality of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt .
economy
The village was and is agriculturally oriented. The traditional farms prove this. In addition, it was understood and is still understood today to use the natural location for recreational purposes. A waterworks for the cities is also in the district.
