The fortified church Zeigerheim is a Protestant village church in the Zeigerheim district of the city of Bad Blankenburg in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district in Thuringia .

history

The church was built in 1396 through renovation and new building measures, whereby the usable components of the previous church were adapted and built into the building.

Other changes were made to the church later .

The late Gothic carved altar dates from the late 15th century and is attributed to the Saalfeld workshop . The sacrament house has been preserved from 1428, as is the piscinium and the old wooden barrel ceiling. The painted galleries with biblical motifs were also used again. The equipment is completed with the old organ from the 19th century from the organ building workshop Eifert from Stadtilm .

The tower clock dates from 1797. Two bells were melted down in 1917 for war purposes.
