The Naval Air Station Oceana (also Apollo Soucek Field called) is a military airport of the United States Navy in Virginia Beach ( Virginia ). The chief officer is Captain James D. Webb and his deputy is Captain Robert N. Geis. The area of ​​all facilities is 27.6 km². The airport was an alternate landing place ( alternate landing site ) for the space shuttle of NASA .
