نوى / Nawā
Most of the inhabitants live from agriculture. Mainly potatoes, tomatoes and cereals are grown. There are also many olive trees and grapevines. Nawa is one of the largest cities in southern Syria with many historical buildings from Roman times. There is also the alleged grave of Noah's son Shem .
Nawa lies between many hills and lakes. The weather is mild all year round, with warm summers and pleasant winters. The place is about 570 meters above sea level.
