Nazghor is a Swedish band from Uppsala , the black metal plays.
history
The band was founded in 2012. Just one year later, the debut album Life Impaled was released on CD in 2013 on the Ukrainian music label Dead Center Productions , making Nazghor more or less labelmates of Cerebral Contortion . At the same time, Nebular Winter Productions released the album as a cassette .
The Swedes then released new records every year until 2017, and in 2014 they presented two albums to the public: Upon the Darkest Season and Through Darkness and Hell .
style
Nazghor plays Black Metal, into which the guitarists let "wonderfully melodic guitar runs like dew drops" flow and whose "occasionally interspersed keyboard / piano passages" bring back memories of Melodic Black Metal. As references were u. a. Thulcandra and Watain , who also come from Uppsala .
reception
For the sixth album, a review concluded with the verdict that the album was "simply a work to kneel down". Elsewhere it was said that the sextet "serves a damn plank here" and is "one of the most interesting bands from Sweden".
