An adrenal hyperplasia is a hyperplasia of the adrenal glands .
There are different forms:
- both sides:
- physiological enlargement in newborns
- acquired when there is an increased release of ACTH , an ACTH-producing pituitary adenoma or Cushing's disease
- congenital ( congenital adrenal hyperplasia ) (CAH) with the picture of an adrenogenital syndrome (AGS) with a series of gene mutations
- one or both sides:
- Conn syndrome with Conn adenoma
- Tumors such as pheochromocytoma , ganglioneuroma or adrenal carcinoma , Carney complex or aldosteronome. Primary hyperaldosteronism
