Max Porter (film producer)

Max Porter (* 1981 in New York ) is an American film producer , film director , screenwriter , cameraman , film editor and special effects artist .

Career

Max Porter attended from 2006 to 2010 in New York City , the Parsons School of Design and received his Bachelor in Baltimore at the Maryland Institute College of Art . Porter has been working on the film staff since 2010 , for example, he worked on the short film Something Left, Something Taken in various areas of responsibility, including being responsible for the camera and making his directorial debut. He also pursued these activities in the films Between Times and Perfect Houseguest . For Porter's involvement in the film Negative Space , he and Ru Kuwahata received an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Short Film at the 2018 Academy Awards . The stop-motion film was produced in France but was recorded in the original English language. However, the Academy Awards went to Glen Keane and Kobe Bryant for their short film Dear Basketball , which shows Bryant's childhood dreams through to his 20-year career.

He and Kuwahata live in Baltimore , which is where their animation studio Tiny Inventions is based. They also work together on commercials for Ben & Jerry’s, among others . In 2018 Porter was appointed to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences , which awards the Oscars every year.
