Problem with multi-color printing

While small negative fonts can also be displayed on the screen without any problems, such text passages sometimes pose a problem with printed products. If the background consists of a color tone made up of several process colors , even small deviations in the color register of the printing machine can make the text difficult to read. Speed cameras and overlapping of the color separations ensure a washed-out typeface , the typeface blends in.

This can be remedied by formatting the letters "bold" . Furthermore, large, sans serif fonts are less susceptible than small fonts with filigree serifs . In the case of light fonts (not paper white), the result can be improved by prior trapping in prepress .
