The Negra Rock ( Spanish Roca Negra , Black Rock ) is a cliff rock in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . In the English Strait , it is north of Ash Point on Greenwich Island .
Participants of the 19th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1964–1965) carried out measurements and the descriptive naming. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee translated this into English in 2004.
