Neil Arthur (born June 15, 1958 in Lancashire , North West England ) is a British singer-songwriter .
biography
Together with keyboardist Stephen Luscombe, Arthur founded the pop duo Blancmange in 1979 , which, until they split up in 1986, made it into the English charts with ten singles and three albums . In the following years he was involved in the synth-pop - band West India Company, which along with other musicians also Luscombe belonged.
In 1992 Arthur's solo single One Day, One Time , was released, which received little attention. It wasn't until 1994 that he released the sequel I Love I Hate . The song entered the UK charts in February of that year, stayed there for two weeks and reached number 50. Both songs are also on the album Suitcase, which was released in the same year .
In 2006 Arthur was involved as singer, songwriter and producer on the album The Bhutan Philharmonic by the Bhutan Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2011 he reactivated the Blancmange project with Luscombe.
