Neil Mallon Bush (born January 22, 1955 in Midland, Texas ) is an American businessman. He is a son of former US President George HW Bush and Barbara Bush . His siblings are former President George W. Bush , former Florida Governor Jeb Bush , and Robin, Marvin and Dorothy Bush. Career and Savings and Loan Scandal

Neil Bush was involved in the savings and loan scandals in the late 1980s and early 1990s . The collapse of the bank Silverado Savings and Loan , on whose board of directors he was a member, cost the American taxpayer $ 1.3 billion. In a bankruptcy lawsuit, Neil Bush was fined $ 50,000 and banned from banking for life. He then founded Apex Energy together with Louis Marx. Bush invested $ 3,000, Marx $ 100,000. The company went bust, and Denver MP Pat Schroeder called for an investigation.

Daniel Neils, a friend of the Bush family, hired Neil Bush after the banking scandal and the bankruptcy of his TransMedia company after Neil argued against his father's cable regulation.

The fact that he is one of the chairmen of Crest Investment - a company that surprisingly got the contract to process liquefied gas in Texas after George W. Bush took office - led to allegations of nepotism . Neil Bush has been working as a consultant for Grace Semiconductor since August 2002 , where both the stake worth two million US dollars he received at the start caused a sensation, as did the fact that former Chinese President Jiang Zemin is one of the main shareholders of this company.

Bush is the CEO of Ignite! , an educational software company he co-founded with others in 1999. The investors were the Bush family with $ 500,000, Winston Wong from Grace Semiconductor, Hushang Ansary, the former Iranian ambassador to the United States, Paul Desmarais and Mohammed al-Sabah from the Kuwaiti Ultra Horizon Company.

Neil Bush and ex-wife Sharon Smith, who divorced in 2003, have three children, including model Lauren Bush . On March 6, 2004, Neil Bush married Maria Andrews.
