Neith ( Egyptian language N.t , actually probably Nr.t / Nj.t ) was an ancient Egyptian queen of the 6th dynasty . She was the wife of Pepi II and the mother of Anchkare, who is probably King Nemtiemsaef II , and the daughter of Pepi I and maybe also the wife of Merenre .

The pyramid of Neith was found next to that of Pepi II in Saqqara . The complex has a mortuary temple and was richly decorated with reliefs, the tomb of the queen is decorated with pyramid texts.
