The early medieval necropolis of Forcadas ( Portuguese Necrópole medieval de Forcadas or Conjunto de sepulturas escavadas na rocha ) is located in the municipality of Matança , in the district ( concelho ) Fornos de Algodres in the Região Centro in Portugal .

The cemetery the Sepulturas escavadas na Rocha comes from the 7th or 8th century, and contains about 25 oval, rectangular and trapezoidal in rock surfaces cut graves, some of which are arranged in pairs. They were covered by granite slabs . Graves were common in the region from the 6th to the 14th centuries, with the emphasis between the 9th and 11th centuries. Some historians believe that they are of Visigothic origin.

Nearby are the Anta Orca da Matança and the Anta Cortiçô de Algodres .
