Nemmers Prize for Medicine
The Nemmers Prize for Medicine ( English Mechthild Esser Nemmers Prize in Medical Science ) is a scientific award presented for the first time in 2016 by Northwestern University in Evanston (Illinois) for “outstanding scientific work of lasting importance”.
The price is 200,000 dollars doped. Together with the other Nemmers prizes , it is financed by a foundation by the brothers Erwin E. and Frederic E. Nemmers in the amount of US $ 14 million.

- 2016 Huda Zoghbi ( Baylor College of Medicine in Houston , Texas) for her research on Rett Syndrome
- 2018 Stuart H. Orkin ( Howard Hughes Medical Institute , Boston Children's Hospital . Dana-Farber Cancer Institute , Harvard Medical School ) for research into the development of blood cells and their genetic disorders
