Nenad Kralj

Nenad Kralj (* 1957 in Sisak ) is a German specialist in occupational medicine and a professor at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal . Since 2010 he has headed the Bergisches Land competence center for travel medicine .

Life

Nenad Kralj studied at the University of Zagreb from 1975 to 1980 . He then completed an internship at the Petrinja Medical Center until 1981 and was a troop doctor at the Bjelovar garrison ambulance until 1982 . He then worked for a year as an assistant doctor in the pulmonology department of the Petrinja City Hospital. From 1985 to 1988 Kralj completed his training as a specialist in occupational medicine at the University Clinics in Zagreb. In 1988 he completed his medical exam in occupational medicine in Croatia, and in 1996 also in the South Baden Medical Association . In between he was chief medical director of the primary medical area in Petrinja for three years.

In 1990 Kralj qualified as a lecturer in the subjects of occupational physiology and occupational medicine . From 1992 to 1995 he worked at the Institute for Transfusion Medicine at the University Medical Center Freiburg . Until 1997 he worked there. Since 1997 he has been working in the field of occupational physiology, occupational medicine and infection protection in the safety technology department of the Bergische Universität Wuppertal. In 2005 he was appointed adjunct professor there. In 2010, Kralj founded the university-based competence center for travel medicine in Bergisches Land .
