Neratius

Neratius is the nomen gentile of the Roman family ( gens ) of the Neratii.

It came from the Samnite Saepinum , where it is mentioned in several inscriptions. Members of the family entered the Senate by the middle of the 1st century AD at the latest . From the Flavian period to the 2nd century, the family provided several consuls . Neratii are known from the sources until the 4th century.
