Nervi anococcygei

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The nervi anococcygei (anal-coccyx nerves) are several nerves of the coccyx plexus ( plexus coccygeus ), the lower end of the plexus lumbosacralis . The nerve fibers originate from the inferior rami of the 4th and 5th cross branches (S4, S5) and the coccyx branches of the spinal nerves . These pass through the coccygeus muscle and unite to form a common trunk, from which the anococcygei nerves emerge. They innervate the skin of the anal region and the perineum .
