Brachial plexus with subclavian nerve ("subclavian")

The subclavian nerve is a delicate motor nerve of the arm plexus ( brachial plexus ).

In humans, it arises from the junction of the fifth and sixth cervical nerves , crosses the subclavian artery and runs to the subclavian muscle , which it innervates . The subclavian nerve usually has a delicate connecting branch to the phrenic nerve .

In domestic animals , with the exception of the horse , the nerve and the muscle of the same name are not developed.
