Nesselsdorf C

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Nesselsdorf C was a completely new, open, four-seater car from the Nesselsdorfer Wagenbau-Fabriks-Gesellschaft , which came out in 1902 .

Its engine was derived from the two-cylinder Type B by simply doubling the number of cylinders and reducing the cylinder bore by 5 mm. It was a side-controlled four - cylinder boxer engine with 5878 cm³ displacement and 24 hp (17.6 kW) output, which was also installed under the floor of the car. Of the 1100 kg type C, which reached a top speed of 90 km / h, probably only two vehicles were made.

In the same year, the Nesselsdorf D was built with the same technology, but different structures, such as Landauer , Break ( delivery van ), Tonneau etc. The maximum speed of this (series) model was 50 km / h. One of the last examples was the first vehicle of the brand to have a honeycomb cooler on the front of the vehicle instead of the pipe coil cooler.

In 1905 this type was replaced by the type J 30 .
