Franz Xaver Lederle , also Franz X. Lederle (born February 18, 1931 in Mindelheim ) is a German photographer and cameraman .

Life

Lederle received a photo-technical training in the laboratories of a copier. In 1956 he met Romy Schneider and in the following years created photo series of the celebrated star.

Since 1955, Franz Xaver Lederle has worked as a camera assistant, primarily for productions by directors Alfred Weidenmann and Frank Wisbar . In 1961 he acted as chief cameraman for the first time. He was initially responsible for a product from the Edgar Wallace films and several episodes of the Jerry Cotton film adaptations .

In addition, there were a large number of musical comedies and erotic films in the 1970s and 1980s. Lederle worked with directors such as Rolf Olsen and Franz Josef Gottlieb . For television he created the recordings for several episodes of the series Das Erbe der Guldenburgs , Stubbe - Von Fall zu Fall , Ein Schloß am Wörthersee and Derrick . He was also behind the camera in 83 of 90 episodes of the crime series Siska .

From 2001, Lederle curated several exhibitions with Romy Schneider's own photo series . He lives with his wife Katja in Mindelheim to this day.
