Journey into the Hereafter - The World of the Supernatural (alternatively PSI - A Journey into the Hereafter ) was a German Mondo film by Rolf Olsen that was shown for the first time on November 14, 1975 .

International performances

The US title was Journey Into the Beyond and was published in 1977 by Burbank International Pictures. In Spain it ran under the title El poder de la parapsicología - Viaje al mundo de lo desconocido, in Argentina under Un viaje al más allá and in Greece under Taxeidi sto agnosto. The film was also shown in South Korea in 1981.

In 2003 the English unabridged version was published by the video label Citycenta with the BBFC 18 rating . In 2014 the German version was released on DVD by Filmjuwelen (Alive AG) .

The film conveys a scientific claim and shows parapsychological and occult phenomena, miraculous healings and exorcisms , operations under hypnosis without anesthesia , telekinetic movements of objects, levitation and the like inexplicable. The color and black- and- white film material used is declared to be authentic and was allegedly collected worldwide over a year and a half of filming. The film's scientific claim is underpinned by statements from people with scientific titles and clergy. The German film trailer states that the production was based on the style of the author Erich von Däniken .
