The Laufenberg NETzine

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Laufenberg NETzine , also known under the domain name Netzine.de , is a political - literary - satirical internet periodical in German. As a one-man company, it emphasizes the worldview of its author Walter Laufenberg . The first issue was published on January 3, 1996 as a weekly magazine.

Surname

Because the term blog was not yet common at the time, the term was based on the Netzines, Webzines and Fanzines that already existed in the USA. The made-up word Netzine is composed of the two endings of Internet and Magazine (in English with the unspoken e at the end).

content

Right from the start, the non-commercial periodical Netzine.de brings short reports to the topicality, in a mixture of real satire and satire. Netzine.de refers to the forerunner Christian Friedrich Daniel Schubart (1739–1791), who made critical remarks on current events in his Deutsche Chronik , for which he was imprisoned for more than ten years without conviction. Netzine.de has been continuously expanded over the years with short stories , travel pictures , essays , an ironic language course for writers, book and film reviews , reader reactions, information about the author and his books and the interactive dictionary Laufenbergs Läster -Lexikon (LLL), which is largely based on suggestions from Netzine readers and is illustrated with caricatures from the readership, including by renowned cartoonists.

development

In the middle of 2003, the weekly magazine with the main section “ Current Issues” was changed to appear every two weeks. The other headings are still being supplemented without a fixed timetable. Netzine.de was on the best list for the German alternative media award for several years in a row . The LLL now has more than 1000 keywords.
