The Neu Freiberger Glück Stolln is a mining facility in Johanngeorgenstadt in the Erzgebirgskreis in Saxony . Other older spellings are Neu Freybergerglück Stolln, Neu Freybergisch Glück Stolln and Neu Freybergischglücker Stolln.

The mouth of the tunnel is located in the Lehmergrund . Already in 1698 a Freibergisches Glück mine on silver was muted by the Freiberg citizen Georg Zocher . But operations soon came to a standstill. Since there is no location information for this pit, it is unclear whether the current tunnel is identical to the old one. From 1714 the Neu Freiberger Glück Stolln was driven into the Vorderen Fastenberg in several stages ; between 1726 and 1766 by the Henneberger Tiefer Erbstolln and again as an independent mine between 1768 and 1772. In 1799 it was purchased by the Electorate of Saxony . The Saxon state supported the Fundgrube Gottes Seegen and St. Georgen (also St. Georg) Stolln in their operation on the Gottes Seegen Spat by overcoming and maintaining this tunnel. In 1827 the mouth hole was secured against collapse for the first time by means of an elliptical quarry stone wall and subsequent ridge vault. During the well-known severe storm on July 6, 1931, part of its heap was washed away. With the acquisition of mining concessions by the object 01 of the bismuth AG in 1946, the adit was as shaft 17 out. The geological department of the property was responsible for the work in the tunnel. In the course of the investigation work, found uranium ore was mined. The work was stopped in 1950 and the tunnel abandoned. Immediately after 1958 the mouth hole was blown up. It was reconstructed from rubble stones after 1990 in the course of the creation of an educational mining trail and a notice board was set up next to it.

During investigations before the First World War, dissolved radium salt was detected in the Neu Freiberg Glück Stolln in 1908 .
