Neuenweg is a district in the Lückerath district of Bergisch Gladbach .

Neuenweg towards Kölner Straße

history

It is an early modern settlement with the name Neuenweg , which has meanwhile become a street name . It is derived from the old names of the baths Neuenwegsfeld and Am neue Weg . In 1905 the settlement had six buildings and 30 residents. The field name Neuenweg referred to the location of the settlement close to the well-developed country road from Bensberg (Kölner Straße) to Cologne . It is recorded in the original cadastre as "Road from Cöln to Bensberg / Aggerstraße" .
