The series follows the lives of two teenage girls who, at first glance, couldn't be more different. The 16-year-old Maggie Davis, who comes from the USA and appears bizarre, has a great passion for music and fashion, always gives her best and was able to obtain a scholarship at the Fashion Academy in Milan through very hard work. There she meets Bianca Lussi - a 15-year-old spoiled girl who is forced to attend fashion school by her father, the founder of the most successful Italian fashion company Lussi. True to the motto opposites attract, Maggie and Bianca become good friends. Since they both share a passion for music, they found the band "The MoodBoards". But can the two combine fashion school and music and will Bianca's strict father allow that? In addition, Maggie and Bianca have to cope with the everyday problems of being a teenager.

Maggie Davis is a 16-year-old girl from Portland, Oregon. She has a big dream and this is to become a respected fashion designer! And now Maggie has the chance of a lifetime. After Maggie mastered the entrance test through hard work, she received a scholarship to the Milan Fashion Academy, one of the most famous and important fashion schools in the world. But Maggie is not only passionate about fashion: she also inherited her mother's passion for music and that's why she always has her guitar with her. Thanks to her smartphone and stylish computer, Maggie always keeps her blog up to date. Maggie is a passionate, creative and enthusiastic girl with an alternative, strong and unique style, which is why everyone considers Maggie "weird". She works very hard and always does her best, but Maggie is also a bit chaotic and disorganized at the same time. Because of this, the relationship with Bianca is not always easy at the beginning!
Bianca Lussi is a decent, perfectionist and control-addicted 15 year old girl. She comes from the exclusive province of Lago Como in Italy and is the queen of snob chic. Bianca is the heiress of the Lussi fashion company, which is one of the most important in the world. Her father Alberto - a businessman with many duties and responsibilities - forces Bianca to attend the Fashion Academy. He also forbids her to express herself through music because he considers it a useless hobby. Outwardly, Bianca doesn't seem to have any dreams or wishes, but the reality is very different! Her voice is awesome and she sings wonderfully, although she denies her ability, especially in front of herself. Maggie is the one who brings out Bianca's inner passion by putting together a music band that goes by the name of the MoodBoards! Bianca lives by the motto “I love to be me!” And is considered by everyone to be an ice-cold snow queen.
Jacques Bertrand is 16 years old and comes from Paris. He's a classic, sophisticated, and snobby popper that all girls love. His mother is Italian and his father is French. Which is why Jacques always commutes back and forth between Milan and Paris. His mother left the family for another man when Jacques was only two years old, which is why he grew up with his billionaire father, who unfortunately is a very bad role model for him. His grandfather is the true entrepreneur in the family, a talented master of his craft who wants his grandchild to inherit the leadership of the empire he created. However, Jacques himself does not yet know what he is going to do with himself in his life.
Quinn O'Connor is a nice, friendly and sensitive 15 year old boy. He is the most romantic of the group and seems dreamy to others. Quinn comes from a humble Scottish family and his greatest passion is photography. He chose the Fashion Academy because there he can be taught photography by the great Professor Ferrari. Quinn is a sociable and always positive-thinking boy, so he doesn't judge Maggie for her strange behavior. Because of this, they become good friends from day one at school.
Nausica Bianchetti is a 16 year old girl from Milan and is the daughter of a perfect model mother. She grew up in a family where excellence is the order of the day and she doesn't want anyone to beat her! Her only goal is to always win, especially when it comes to her rivals Maggie and Bianca. To do this, she gets help from Yuki and Eduard, who have a naive view of things. Basically, Nausica is the brain and Yuki and Eduard are their muscles. Nausica disguises her intentions behind statements like "I only say this for your own good!" And is compared to a harpy by others.
Yuki Abe is a 15 year old girl from Harajuku a district of Tokyo. She cares very much about her roots and always shows that she is cheerful and very happy. Her greatest passion is Eduard. Yuki is always absent and has her head in the clouds. Nausica, the harpy of the Fashion Academy, often takes advantage of the fact that Yuki is easy to manipulate. Yuki follows every plan of Nausica because of her naivete, and does not notice that she is mostly wrong. Yuki looks like a clichéd blonde to others.
Eduard Zonte is a beautiful, sweet and nice 16 year old boy from Greece, but he has more muscles than a brain. He is very naive, and immediately believes everything you tell him that repeatedly brings him into extraordinary situations. On all his adventures he is accompanied by Yuki. His best friend is Franz, his only neuron! Franz sleeps all the time, but when Eduard wakes him up so he can ask for advice, Franz is always ready to make the most absurd suggestions! Eduard is seen by others as a photogeshopter single neuron guy.
Leonardo Garcia is the 16-year-old son of a billionaire and comes from Spain. He is used to everything being put in his lap. Leonardo can't stand it when he's forced to do something! He is convinced that he can buy anything he wants with his credit card and never miss a chance to show off his wealth! Will he ever understand that nothing can be bought with money? To others, he looks like a spoiled child.
Andrew Moore is a 17 year old Englishman and the leader of CoolGhost. In addition to his work as a singer and composer, he runs the popular fashion blog EverBlack. He is especially celebrated for his sustainable green fashion. Andrew shares with Maggie a love for music and a commitment to ecology, but the two do not always agree on the approach. Others consider him the most influential fashion blogger on the net, which is what he thinks of himself.
Felipe Ramirez is a cool 16 year old boy from Argentina. He's an excellent visual artist and his CoolGhost web profile proves it. Whenever he publishes a video, he speaks from his fans. Felipe doesn't seem to have anything in common with Bianca, but after a while it seems as if something more is developing than just friendship. He looks somber and handsome to others.
Susan Grave is a 16 year old girl from California. She works on CoolGhost and is the most bizarre looking member of the group. Susan bears a certain resemblance to Maggie. In terms of character, however, she is the complete opposite of Maggie. Susan is very often in a bad mood, sad and moody. In addition, she is anything but colorful like Maggie. But the people at the academy are slowly starting to find that there is one person out there who can warm Susan's heart.

From the very first week of broadcasting, the series could catch on with critics and audiences in Italy alike. In the target group of children aged 6–13, the series immediately took it to the extreme. In the second season, the individual episodes reached around 305,000 viewers. In its target group, the Maggie & Bianca Fashion Friends series succeeds in placing itself ahead of the equally successful Alex & Co. and Soy Luna series .
