The Blue Ocean Entertainment AG is a German children's magazine publisher based in Stuttgart , the majority of Hubert Burda Media belongs. Blue Ocean publishes over 50 magazines that appear regularly, including the magazine families around Princess Lillifee , Filly , Playmobil and Bibi Blocksberg , knowledge magazines such as Ask noch die Maus (magazine for broadcasting with the mouse ) and Löwenzahn as well as license-free magazines such as Horse & Co and Dinosaur . history

Blue Ocean Entertainment was founded in 2005. In the summer of 2006, Princess Lillifee was the publisher's first magazine. Blue Ocean has been publishing the Italian comic series Winx Club since 2007 . The Playmobil magazine appeared for the first time in 2009 , followed by Filly magazine six months later . In cooperation with Schleich (company) , Blue Ocean has been publishing magazines about the world of elves bayala on a regular basis since 2012 .

In March 2013, the publisher signed a long-term license agreement with the Lego group and has been the company's European Master Publisher ever since. With Lego - Legends of Chima , the first magazine appeared in this collaboration in October 2013. This was followed by magazines and comics on the Lego Ninjago game worlds : Masters of Spinjitzu , Lego Friends and Lego ELVES . In addition, the Stuttgart publishing house published the world's first sticker series with Lego motifs in August 2015.

Digital portfolio

On October 8, 2013, Princess Lillifee and the Unicorn, the first app produced by Blue Ocean for smartphones and tablet computers with the Apple iOS operating system, was released. Since then, the publisher has also greatly expanded its digital portfolio.
