Anne-Catrin Märzke (born September 17, 1985 in Parchim ) is a German actress and singer .

Career

Anne-Catrin Märzke was born in 1985 in the Mecklenburg town of Parchim . She began taking piano lessons at the age of eight and played her first role in a play at the age of 15. Several roles in spoken theater followed. At the age of 14, the soprano received classical singing lessons and two years later completed training as a musical actress at the newly founded Joop van den Ende Academy . At the entrance examination , the young talent inspired musical star Uwe Kröger , who then decided to support her with a scholarship . From 2007 to 2009 she was on a world tour with the American band Kamelot as a guest singer. From 2011 to 2013 Anne-Catrin played the main role Jessy (girl from East Berlin) in the world premiere of Hinterm Horizont in the Theater am Potsdamer Platz and the journalist Mareike in the second cast. In the summer of 2014, Anne-Catrin played the title role of Effi Briest at the 1st Ribbeck Castle Festival .

From 2007 to 2009, Anne-Catrin was on a world tour as a female voice and performer with the American progressive metal band Kamelot .
