The Neumühle is located southwest of the district of Gahma in the Sormitztal on the federal road 90 and on the railway line to Bad Lobenstein . There are forests of the southeast Thuringian slate mountains to the right and left of the valley .
history
The Neumühle was first mentioned in a document on May 23, 1449 . The mill is no longer preserved in its former form, but the new buildings still bear her name. A former quarry at the mill serves geologists as a research facility.
