The Neumann peak is approximately 800 m high mountain on the north end of the Hansen Island in the Hanusse Bay before the Loubet coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula .
Aerial photographs of the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948) and the Falkland Islands and Dependencies Aerial Survey Expedition (1956–1957) were used to map the mountain. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1965 after the German physicist Franz Ernst Neumann (1798–1895), who had made significant contributions to the thermal conductivity of ice .
