The Nevlingen (in Australia Mount Channon ) is a roughly 2100 m high and striking mountain in the East Antarctic Enderbyland . It rises 21 km southeast of the Doggers Nunatakker and 57 km south-southwest of Rayner Peak .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named it, mapped it using aerial photographs of the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 . The namesake of the designation made by the Antarctic Names Committee of Australia is James Edward Gray Channon (1915-2006), who worked as a doctor in 1958 on the Mawson ward .
