The Utilita Arena is a multi-purpose arena in the English city of Newcastle upon Tyne , United Kingdom . Since January 2019, the hall has been sponsored by the utility Utilita Energy
history
The hall in North East England was designed by the architects of the Ogden Corporation. The cost of construction was £ 10.6 million . The opening took place on November 18, 1995. The arena in the southwest of the city center is used for sporting events such as ice hockey , basketball , darts , boxing and snooker as well as concerts , theater and ice shows such as Disney on Ice . There were also nationally and internationally successful artists and bands.
