The Newmill Beck is a watercourse in Cumbria , England . It arises at the southern end of Bleng Fell north of Gosforth in the Lake District and flows westward until it reaches the northern end of Ponsonby Tarn . It leaves the lake at its southern end and then flows in a south to south-westerly direction. It reaches the southern end of the Sellafield nuclear facility and then turns north to flow into the Irish Sea along with the River Calder and the River Ehen .
