Newton - News from the World of Science ( Newton for short ) is a weekly science program on ORF and has been running on ORF Eins on Saturday at 6:25 pm since 2006 . The broadcast is repeated on Mondays at 12:30 p.m. on ORF 2 and Wednesdays at 12:00 p.m. on 3sat . It is the successor to the program Modern Times .
In mono-thematic films or short documentaries, news, fundamentals and backgrounds from the world of science should be made understandable, supported by computer animations, graphics and expert interviews. The range of topics ranges from scientific experiments such as the particle accelerator at CERN to climate research and product research or partner selection. The program was moderated by Carolina Inama until June 2010 and by Markus Mooslechner from September 4, 2010 . Since September 2012 she has been moderating Matthias Euba .
