The building is owned by the Canadian energy company Nexen and serves as the company's headquarters. The building was designed by CPV Group Architects and Engineers Ltd. designed and produced by CANA Construction Company Ltd. built . The building was completed in 1982. The skyscraper was after an originally by Joseph Colaco partially designed steel-framed building built system.
