Ney Rosauro

Ney Rosauro (born October 24, 1952 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a Brazilian composer , marimba virtuoso and conductor .

Rosauro began his studies in 1977 in his hometown of Rio de Janeiro. As a composer he wrote over 50 works for percussion and several educational books. His works are known worldwide and have been performed by well-known artists such as Evelyn Glennie and the London Symphony Orchestra . He received his master's degree at Siegfried Fink at the University of Music Würzburg , his doctorate at the University in Miami with Fred Wickstrom .
