Ngatik is a small Pacific island in the Caroline Archipelago . It lies on the western reef rim of the Sapwuahfik Atoll . The atoll used to be called Ngatik Atoll .
geography
The island of Ngatik is 1800 m long and up to 760 m wide, flat and densely overgrown. It has an area of 90.6 ha and is by far the largest island in the atoll. The 78 km² large lagoon of Sapwuahfik is just under 400 m from the east coast .
In front of the southeastern tip of the island there is an artificially created airfield ( 5 ° 47 ′ 1.1 ″ N , 157 ° 10 ′ 1.4 ″ E ) with a length of only 370 m.

Ngatik belongs to the Micronesian state of Pohnpei . According to the 2000 census, 640 people live there.
