Ngawang Jampel Deleg Gyatsho

Demo Hutuktu Ngawang Jampel Deleg Gyatsho ( Tib . : de mo ho thog thu ngag dbang 'jam dpal bde legs rgya mtsho ; * 1722 ; † 1777 ) was a Tibetan trulku and politician. He was the 6th Hutuktu demo of the Gelug School of Tibetan Buddhism . After the death of the 7th Dalai Lama (1708–1757) he officiated in the youth of the 8th Dalai Lama (1758–1804) in the years 1757–1777 as regent of Tibet , d. H. from the 22nd to 42nd year of the Qianlong era of the Qing dynasty . He resided in Tengyeling Monastery ( bstan rgyas gling ), one of the Four Temples of Regency ( gling bzhi ) in downtown Lhasa .
