Nguyễn Thị Hằng or Nguyen Thi Hanh (born January 16, 1997 in Hanoi ) is a Vietnamese sprinter who specializes in the 400-meter run .

Athletic career

Nguyễn Thị Hằng gained her first experience in international competitions at the Junior Asian Championships 2016 in Ho Chi Minh City , where she was eliminated in the first round over 400 meters with 56.47 s. With the Vietnamese 4-by-400-meter relay she won the silver medal behind the team from India and with the 4-by-100-meter relay she reached fourth place in 46.58 s. In 2017 she won the silver medal behind Kazakh Elina Michina at the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat with a new Vietnamese indoor record of 54.41 seconds . In 2018 she took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta for the first time , where she won the bronze medal behind the teams from India and Bahrain in the 4 x 400 meter relay in 3: 33.23 minutes. In the individual competition over 400 meters she ran in eighth place in the final and with the mixed relay she finished the race in fifth place. The following year she retired from the Asian Championships in Doha with 54.64 s in the first round and finished fifth with the relay in 3: 37.27 min. In December she won the Southeast Asian Games in Capas in 3: 34.64 minutes with the women's relay and in 3: 26.65 minutes in the mixed relay.

In 2013 and 2019, Nguyễn became Vietnamese champion with the 4 x 400 meter relay and in 2019 also in the 4 x 400 meter mixed relay.
