Works (selection)
- 1986 - The Art of Success , premiered at the Royal Shakespeare Company . The play with Penny Downie and Michael Kitchen describes the life of William Hogarth (1697–1764) and the political manipulation of art, the corruption in politics and the treatment of women at the time. The plot develops more and more into a garish comedy about sexual behavior. At its core, however, the piece is a debate about the nature of ambition and the long road to success. Its historical setting is solely a means to an end.
- 1995 - Zenobia , premiered in London.
- 1999 - Summer Folk listed on the Shell Connections Festival of the Royal National Theater .
- 2003 - Power listed on the Shell Connections Festival of the Royal National Theater . Power shows the intrigues and tensions at the court of the young Louis XIV of France. The play was staged in theaters in Portugal, Poland and Hungary, and at the Finnish National Theater.
- 2005 - Lunch in Venice listed on the Shell Connections Festival of the Royal National Theater .
- 2011 - Frankenstein based on Mary Shelley's novel Frankenstein
