Michael Kitchen (born October 31, 1948 in Leicester , England ) is a British actor in theater , film and television .

life and career

Kitchen studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art . In the early 1970s, Kitchen made her debut on television and in movies. He was eventually able to establish himself as a successful actor on both television and British theater stages. He played one of his most famous roles as "Berkeley Cole" in the Oscar-winning drama Out of Africa . From 2002 to 2015 Kitchen starred in the title role in the British crime series Foyle's War .

In 1995 he played the role of MI6 employee Bill Tanner in the James Bond film Goldeneye , which he repeated four years later in The World Is Not Enough . He was not seen in any other films in the series. In James Bond 007: Quantum of Solace from 2008, the character was re- cast with Rory Kinnear .

Michael Kitchen is a member of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
