Nick Massi

Nick Massi (born September 19, 1935 in Newark (New Jersey) ; † December 24, 2000 there ; actually Nicholas Macioci ) was a bass singer who became known as a member of the Four Seasons .

As a teenager, Massi had played in a number of locally known bands before joining the Four Lovers in 1960 . In 1962 they changed their name to The Four Seasons . Massi sang on a number of the band's hits, including Sherry , Big Girls Don't Cry, and Rag Doll , until his life as a musician became too hectic in 1965 and he turned his back on the Four Seasons . On December 24, 2000 Nick Massi succumbed to his birthplace cancer .

In the 2004 musical Jersey Boys , his person is one of the leading roles. He is portrayed by Michael Lomenda in the 2014 film Jersey Boys .
