Nicklas Grundsten (born October 1, 1983 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish handball player .
Grundsten, who currently plays for the Spanish club BM Granollers in the ASOBAL league (shirt number 17) and plays for the Swedish national team, is actually always used as a circular runner.
Nicklas Grundsten started playing handball at HK Silwing / Troja. He later made his debut for the Stockholm club Hammarby IF HF in the Swedish elite series, but was still able to set little accents in the league with the capitals. In 2004 he moved to the Danish top team GOG Svendborg TGI for one season , where he became the Danish cup winner. After his return to Hammarby, things finally improved under new coach Staffan Olsson ; In 2006 and 2007 his team won the Swedish championship and moved into the EHF Champions League . Since the 2008/09 season he played for the top German club HSV Hamburg . Grundsten won the DHB Supercup with HSV in 2009 . In October 2009, his contract was terminated by mutual agreement. After the termination of the contract with HSV Hamburg, Grundsten ran for BM Granollers in the Spanish ASOBAL league . With the traditional Spanish club, he lost to VfL Gummersbach in the final of the EHF European Cup Winners' Cup 2009/10 . Grundsten has been playing for the Swedish first division club HIF Karlskrona since the 2015/16 season .
Nicklas Grundsten has played 14 caps for the Swedish national team so far . With the junior team he became junior world champion in 2003.
