Nico HJ van den Boogaard
Nicolaas Hendricus Johannes van den Boogaard (born October 28, 1938 in Amsterdam , † December 25, 1982 in Heemstede ) was a Dutch Romanist and Medievalist .
life and work
Boogaard received his doctorate in 1970 at the University of Amsterdam under Paul Zumthor with the work Rondeaux et refrains du XIIe siècle au début du XIVe. Collationnement, introduction et notes (Paris 1969) and was full professor for Romance Philology there from 1971 until his untimely death (at times also dean).
