Career

societies

Born in Sydney suburbs, Bolger joined Sydney FC in 2008 . At the end of the 2008/09 season, their team was in 4th place in the table and was thus qualified for the playoffs. In the semifinals on January 11, 2009, they met Queensland Roar. Since it was 1-1 after 120 minutes, the penalty shoot-out had to decide. Bolger was the only shooter to fail and her team missed the Grand Final. It went better the following season. At the end of the league round Sydney was in first place and then also reached the Grand Final against Brisbane Roar. In the 3-2 win, it was not used. In 2011 the final was reached again and again Brisbane was the opponent. This time she was used, but her team lost 2-1. She then moved to Newcastle United Jets . There she had more appearances, but when she was fifth in the table, the playoffs were missed. Bolger then returned to Sydney and again reached the Grand Final in 2013, this time against Melbourne Victory. In a 3-1 win, she scored the first goal. A year later Melbourne was able to retaliate in the semi-finals and Sydney with a 3-2 refused to make it to the final. And the following year was the final stop in the semifinals, this time against Perth Glory . In 2016 the final was reached again, but lost 4-1 to Melbourne City. In 2017 Perth Glory was stronger again in the semifinals. She then switched to the semi-final opponent. In sixth place, however, Perth missed the final round. After 100 league games, she ended her career.
