Nicola Steiner

Nicola Steiner (* 1975 , from Berlin ) is a Swiss- German cultural journalist and presenter . Since 2014 she has moderated the Swiss Radio and Television Literature Club (SRF).

Life

Steiner studied languages, economic and cultural studies at the University of Passau . She then worked for the publishers Hanser and Schöffling & Co. In 2003 she moved to Zurich and worked for the culture magazine DU .

In 2008 Nicola Steiner switched to SRF as editor for the show Sternstunde Philosophie . Since 2014, she has been moderating the discussion program Literaturclub on SRF 1 , and she also conducts discussions on radio programs such as 52 Best Books by Radio SRF 2 Kultur . She argues with the writer and literary critic Philipp Tingler in the video format Steiner & Tingler . She is a member of the jury of the SWR best list and is the jury chairwoman of the Solothurn Literature Prize . She is a member of the Main Jury of the True Story Award . She also works as a freelance presenter. She has been a lecturer at the Ringier School of Journalism since 2019.

Nicola Steiner is married, has two children and lives in Zurich.
