Nicolaas Wicart
Nicolaas Wicart (born March 4, 1748 in Utrecht ; † November 5, 1815 there ) was a Dutch painter and draftsman.
Life
Nicolaas Wicart was a son of Andries Wicart and Anna Christina Meijbergh. At the age of 20 he started working as an artist. He became known through watercolors of landscapes in the provinces of South Holland , Noord-Brabant and Utrecht . From 1774 to 1784 Wicart worked as a porcelain painter at the factory of Joannes de Mol (1726–1782) in Oud-Loosdrecht .
Wicart was married to Johanna Margrieta Geerling.
